Great Documentary Called ‘Brown Sugar: Eighty Years of Black Female Superstars’

I recommend that you all check out this documentary, if you haven’t already based on African American television and film historian, Donald Bogle’s Book, Brown Sugar: Eighty Years of Black Female Superstars, published in 1980. The book is the  basis  of this  4-hour PBS series that originally aired on February 8,  1986. Mr. Bogle has an updated version of the book, Brown Sugar: 100 Years of Black Female Superstars. I may try to order this series (or the book) later because it was hard to watch on youtube because in  part  1 the audio was bad although it got better and part 4 was muted because of a claim by the copyright holder, which is why I did not post it. However, it is a very enlightening and  educational documentary series.
