Although I have a funny feeling this may have been staged. But let’s just say this was legit. I think this is more symbolic than anything. When I was younger this type of thing would’ve got me all hyped up. But now I’m older and wiser. No flag has ever called me nigger. So whether it stays up or down it doesn’t change the system of white supremacy. They could take it down and the system of WS would still be in place. I’m not dissing the sista. I’m just saying sometimes black people don’t look at the bigger picture. We always fall for the little stuff that they know will grab our attention. They love to distract us any chance they get. But I give her an A for effort though. LikeLiked by 1 person Reply @KP I agree. I was born, raised, and currently still live in SC and Black SC residents have been protesting that flag for years. It took this long and for a tragedy to happen for people (especially a few whites) to call for the complete removal of the flag. That flag could have been removed before this tragedy happened and a cousin and I was saying the same thing you’re saying that that flag is only one of the many symbols of the biggest problem/the bottomline….racism white supremacy. I know what you mean about that damn flag. They love to wave it around. I see them at those NASCAR race events too. I do know what it represents and the history behind it. But we know how these people operate. We have to change ourselves and stop waiting on them to change their behavior. It’s in their nature to oppress and mistreat others. It’s just what they do. We need to just work on US. To hell with these silly inbred rednecks!lol LikeLiked by 1 person Reply Well I consider us fam, whether we are related by blood or not, lol. Yeah they gonna wave that flag to the day they die (or go extinct), lol. We can’t expect better of ’em. LikeLiked by 1 person Reply Leave a Reply Cancel reply Enter your comment here...
